TACTICAL SURVIVAL SHEATH

THE ULTIMATE TACTICAL / SURVIVAL / BUSH CRAFT KNIFE SHEATH

When you search the internet for survival or tactical knife sheaths you see some pretty crazy things. First, most of the designs look pretty blocky and visually unappealing. Second, many are way over engineered and over built. They have tons of snaps, straps, elastic strings, grommets, screw rivets, and other attachments. Some have double or even triple edge stitching that is not needed. These tactical sheaths are also needlessly heavy.

What the real world needs is the lightest most durable tactical knife sheath possible with a secure way to retain the knife and several ways to affix this sheath to a belt, back pack, or other Molle strap attachment.

We feel that the A.S.L. (Air, Sea, & Land) ASSAULT© Tactical / Survival / Bush craft knife sheath is the best one available anywhere today.  For any military or law enforcement applications a sheath must have two, and better three securing points for the knife. You do not want a rappelling rope or parachute cord to work its way behind the handle and the sheath. This could cause catastrophic problems.

The ASSAULT© sheath has a knife guard strap that secures with a black mil spec “lift the dot” fastener that opens only one way. This strap is over the non-sharp side of the blade. Why most manufacturers put this strap on the sharp side allowing it to be cut by the blade we do not understand.

The second securing strap goes around the handle with mil spec black “press the dot” fasteners. The third securing point could be a length of para cord through the top grommets and then through the hole on the handle glass breaker. We doubt that any rough use could unseat these three blade securing locations.

Depending on where and how you secure the sheath, the blade can be inserted in the sheath to the right or to the left making it very versatile. Both the top of the sheath and the bottom of the sheath have double mil spec black grommets for para cord use.

The reverse side of the sheath has a multiple Molle strap set up that will allow the use of either a 1 ¾” Rigger belt or the larger military web belt. The double strap allows the sheath to straddle a belt loop or fit over two Molle sewn attachments on a back pack, shoulder strap, or other surface. The bottom of the sheath also has a single Molle strap. All of the above straps are secured by black mil spec “press the dot” snaps. If you have not heard of “press the dot” or “lift the dot” snaps they are made specifically to open one way only and will stand up to military or law enforcement use very well.

Attachments are available to also carry an American made rod sharpener and a fire stick.

Recently a new book has been released and we have a very few in stock. This is one of the very few books ever written about a well known cowboy holster maker. The photos are priceless and this book should be in the library of every holster maker, cowboy shooter, and western leather holster collector. This is a great book, and contains a good deal of detailed information about Hermann Heiser.  The author is Eugene Bender, who was a personal friend of the granddaughter of Mr. Heiser, and was given quite a bit of previously unknown Heiser family and business history.  The book contains more than 200 pages of information and detailed color and black and white photos and illustrations.  This is a private printing and will surly become out of print soon. THE WASP

A handy Tactical blade that can be worn comfortably around your neck in a kydex sheath with a “break away” 550 para cord collar. This Survival knife is 7″ long and 1 1/8″ wide. A tough blade thickness of 3/16″ makes this one serious tool. The handle area has counter sunk cut outs to reduce weight and handle panels or 55o para cord can easily be applied if desired. This little knife has the same Rockwell 57 hardness and grind as its big Tactical / Survival knife, or Bush Craft brothers. THE WASP

The WASP will sting like one when you need to use it. The kydex sheath can be worn either around your neck or, with the belt attachment, horizontally or vertically. When you feel the 3/16″ heft in your hand you will know you have quality and performance. We have several and keep one in the glove compartment, one in our “Bug Out” bag, and one with our survival supplies.

 You have a choice of a drop point or a “stinger” point on your WASP.

We have found that other countries such as china are buying up as much leather and suede that the US will sell them. As a result the leather quality and availability for American use is  getting harder and harder to find. As a result we now get assistance in hand making two of our  western suede rifle scabbards. The RS-2 is a good grade, low nap suede with a line of sewn on fringe. This will fit up to a rifle of 44″ long. Most replicas, Marllins and Winchesters will fit well. They have a fold over flap at the bottom that has a thong tie. This is a great way to both protect your Western Suede Rifle Scabbard and look authentic at the same time.   The New Plains Indian scabbard is a recent addition to our line. One our last trip out west this year we located an individual that is hand cutting and (X) lacing these scabbards. The full fringe is hand cut and lengths vary. You can either fold the excess over your butt stock and tie with a thong or measure carefully, unlace, cut off the extra, and lace back. This superior grade suede is about twice as thick as the RS-2 above and comes in a desert sand color. Some of these will fit a full length Sharps buffalo rifle. ASL- 5S ~ Bug Out Tactical / Survival knife

(First Run Delivery June 6) This first survival sized knife will have a blade approximately 4 7/8″″ long, 3/16″ thick, and 1 1/2″ wide. The powder coating will leave no reflective surfaces. The Micarta handle will provide good grasp and will be  impervious to water. There will be a good blend between hardness and flexibility with a Rockwell of around 57.  An all around flat edge grind and ease of field resharpening has been provided. This is the perfect knife for any special forces member, tactical team, law enforcement, first responder, or survivalist to add to their dependable gear. As a result of this research and testing, our ASL- 5S will also be the ultimate survival and bug out blade. Sheaths will be made in Kydex or leather and there is a separate cost.
